Common questions
- How do I split one photo across several Instagram slides?
- Upload the photo, choose how many slides you want, and drag to position it. CarouselCraft cuts it into equal portrait slides you can download and post. Post them in order and the photo looks like one picture as people swipe.
- Why don't my Instagram carousel slides line up?
- Two usual reasons. If you crop each slide separately, the edges never quite match. And Instagram crops anything that isn't the right shape when you upload, which shifts the edges again. CarouselCraft cuts every slide from the same photo in one pass, already at the size Instagram expects — so nothing moves after you upload, and the seams meet.
- What size should Instagram carousel slides be?
- 1080 by 1350 pixels (a 4:5 portrait shape) — the tall format Instagram shows at full height. Anything wider gets cropped. CarouselCraft exports every slide at that shape, up to 2160 pixels wide for extra sharpness, so you never lose the edges.
- Can I post a panorama on Instagram without cropping it?
- Yes — split it instead. A wide photo becomes 2 or 3 tall slides that line up when you swipe, so the whole scene survives instead of being cut down to fit one frame.
- How do I split a photo into a grid for my Instagram profile?
- Choose the 6 or 9 grid layout. CarouselCraft cuts your photo into a 3-wide grid — two rows or three — and numbers the pieces left to right, starting at the top-left. Post them as separate posts in reverse order, highest number first, because Instagram puts your newest post top-left. Your profile then shows the whole photo as a mosaic. This is different from a carousel: grid pieces are separate posts, not slides people swipe through.
- Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything happens inside your browser. The photo is never sent to a server, there is no account to create, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind.
